Haunted house

In
the shadows of the night,

Trailing
from the dimmest light,

On
tip-toes and a heavy-hearted path

The
sin was amongst the house to last.

Writhing
and knuckling my hands,

Forgotten
love and wedding bands,

I
sleep alone in this house of shame.

His
lack of affection is to blame.

A
simple kiss was upon my lips.

Until
out it fades, the candle drips.

Marital
woes, they may come and go,

Yet,
I’m alone again, still he does not know.
