Saturn Rising

The sun set behind a veil

Still twilight stripped me

Exposing my truth

Feel the yesterdays

Fall around me

As the night’s faint light

Traces every beat

Of my heart

While the first star

Confessed my life’s journey

Straight into your arms

Love commands me

To submit

To time’s opaque omnipotence

And throughout the night

Your tenderness is all that remains

Upon my flesh

  1. Dear Eva,
For me, the verses spoke thus: variously poignant, melancholic and even pain filled but also beautiful. What an eclectic brew you’ve served up.
    Well done!

  2. Eric,
You’ve been published…do you have an agent and should I look into getting one to have my book published…not poetry, but fiction, scyfi/dystopian/romantic novella ???
Compliments from you mean the most because you are a masterful writer.
